Beautiful art, charming staff, I agreed with taxi driver and shopkeepers who said it was the best restaurant in Iceland, why not mention the superb bars, good value for money, secluded but close to City Centre.

Breakfast was delicious and I loved being surrounded by the assorted paintings. The location of the hotel, of course, is really perfect for the centre of Reykjavik. I had several amusing and informative chats with the desk staff.
The rooms are a bit old fashioned and cramped - a niggle really - as I will come back with great pleasure and wouldn't conside staying anywhere else.

Excellent services and facilities, wonderful staff and ideal location. Interesting collection of art and also of brandies, whiskies and armagnacs.

The spacious Junior Suite offered a fine view of Tjornin Pond, while the hotel's location made it easy to explore nearby attractions. The quiet street sometimes felt isolated, and the lack of on-site dining options was a minor drawback.

I was surprised at how confortable the bed was despite how small it looked. Also I found the reception staff very helpful especially Lisa with trying to help us sort out our travel when the airport was closed.
There was no kettle or safe in the room and the tv remote was faulty

What a great little hotel--it actually has quite a bit of interesting art! The staff is fantastic--very helpful and polite. I'd definitely book there again.
The only disappointment was that the restuarant was closed the night we wished to dine there.

We loved perfect and quiet central location of this place.
Location: the hotel was near to harbour on one side, Hallgrimskirkja, and all the major attractions. Got functional, fashionable room with views of the church steeple. We didn't have time, so that's why we would stay there again.

Artistic Charm with Warm Hospitality
The breakfast offered an excellent variety, and I loved the warm, inviting atmosphere created by the staff and the decor. It's in a fantastic location. The walls could be a bit thin, so light sleepers might want to keep that in mind.
